1 ) Mass Arrests Started in Hotan

Over last 10 days in 7 out of 10 administrative units of the Hotan region the Chinese police arrested over 800 Uighurs on charges of being involved in the “Hizbu Tahrir” organization. Among the arrested there are many teachers, intellectuals, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, and even the farmers......  (

3) The Chinese Communist Party Central Committee has issued a ruling regarding the “putting in order mass media organs”

The population of Eastern Turkistan fall victims of the Chinese policy of developing the Western part of China. The 1st army division and ethnic Chinese arriving from inner China confiscate belongings of the local inhabitants of Aqsu city. The Chinese migrants have taken all key posts in the financial, commercial, administrative posts; they all also take an unfair advantage over the locals – in regards of taxation, and other points.
