CHINESE MIGRANTS - SOURCE OF UNREST IN THE EAST TURKISTAN
 

1. The statement of the East Turkistan Informational Center on the February 1st explosion in Urumchi city.

An explosion carried out by the ethnic Chinese migrant in Urumqi capital city on the February 1st is a vivid example of the growing problems in East Turkistan due to the mounting number of migrant's inflow. According to the Chinese News an explosion at the Trading Center Palace in Urumqi city which was carried by the 33 years-old Chinese migrant from inner China led to a death of one and left wounded several more. Cars at the near-by parking lot were damaged severely as well.......  (click here)

2. Not “Terrorism” But Fight Against Oppression!

The Xinghua Chinese News Agency issued a press release on December 21st, 2001, titled
“The East Turkistan terrorists will not escape justice”.

The statement concentrates on three main issues: “History of the East Turkistan problem”, “Terrorist crime committed by East Turkistan terrorist groups” and “Links between the East Turkistan terrorist organizations and the global terrorism”. The statement outlines that “ so-called East Turkistan terrorist groups committed acts of grave crime over the last ten years”. .... ( click here)

3.  Ethnic Chinese migrants in East Turkistan endangering not only the independence of East Turkistan but its ecology as well

The policy of the Chinese government with the aim of ethnic Chinese migrants of the active exploitation of the East Turkistan’s resources rasing the great concerns amoung Uighurs and leading to a quick degradation of its ecologycal environment. ..... (click here)

4.  Chinese Communist still playing Chinese theater to the international media

The Chinese communist are using many kinds of tactics and political suppression for the assimilation of the people of East Turkistan. One method is to overwhelm the traditional East Turkestan culture with Chinese culture, but they are disappointed. Chinese culture could not be attractive for Uighurs...... (click here)

5.  Falsifier Wang Lequen

On 21 January 2002, the Xinghua Chinese News Agency issued a press release with the text of interview of Wang Lequen, Secretary of Party Committee of the so-called Xinjiang Autonomous Province, given to correspondents of the French “European times” newspaper and of another famous magazine......
