6 ) Inspections at Eastern Turkistan Customs Offices intensified

Our correspondent Uchqun reports from Urumchi

On March 29 the Urumchi Customs office built up an alliance with the Xinjiang Airlines in order to increase the turnover of goods and transportation of goods. The agreement on cooperation includes important clauses such as right of the Urumchi Customs office to inspect incoming and outgoing goods and commodities. The head of the Urumchi Customs Zhong Jienjia talked to the correspondent and informed him that the Customs office is improving its control over import and export of goods from day to day. Apparently the Chinese authorities grow more concerned about illegal smuggling into the region weapons, narcotics, and other prohibited items.
