7 ) New Tools of Accelerating Assimilation |

| The Chinese regime has long been doing everything possible to assimilate Uyghurs into the greater Chinese ethnic group. In the recent years the regime implemented the strategy of sending some Uyghur schoolchildren from national schools to inner parts of China for studying in the total Chinese background. The Ministry of Education has recently steadily increased the number of schoolchildren going to study in inner China. According to the planning of Ministry of Education, the number of students who complete first level secondary education and enter higher education levels should have at least 45% of the students educated in inner China. In order to restrict the access of Uyghur students to education, Ministry of Education is elaborating new plans of abolishing the system of stipends and grants. | ||||
