According to the
information gathered by the Eastern Turkistan
Information Center, on April 10 the guards of the
“Xinjiang 2” prison took 26 Uyghurs inmates charged of
“rebellious activities” to the outskirts of Urumchi to
the cemetery of the “revolutionist victims”, famous
Chinese Communists Mao Zimen, Chen Tian Chu, and others.
Prisoners were taken to the cemetery and were forced to
“repent” publicly in their “sins” against the Communist
regime. The guards made the prisoners to sweep places
around the tombs as a sign of repentance. Prisoners all
“sworn” to “adjust themselves to the socialist system.”
These prisoners were mainly arrested over last year or
tow on charges of “ethnic separatism” and “illegal
religious activities” and sentenced to various terms. |
