| The brutal Chinese
representative Wangleguan in the so-called “Xinjiang
Uyghur Autonomous Region” (Eastern Turkestan) issued a
new unlawful order recently. In it a strike was made to
the roots of Uyghur nation to its language, the language,
which preserved our nation for a thousand years, made
known out culture to the world and the wound is made to
the heart of our nation. Wangleguan in its statement
said “the reason for Uyghur national school lacking
behind and their low performances is Uyghur language,
that Uyghur language is not suitable to the modern days
education and ordered teaching in Chinese to pupils
starting from the 3rd grade at schools. This act fully violates Chinese constitution and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region administration’s sovereignty given to the small-scale nations to protect their languages. Such act is a demonstration of Beijing’s policy of assimilation, racism and fascism implemented by Wangleguan. The communist China is following examples of their grand occupational history and contributing more in what we saw in the last 50 years of intensified ethnic cleanings and the various innovations on nation assimilation tactics on our Motherland. Using the events of the September 11th and trying to use it as a cloak the Chinese governments is turned its attention on the roots of our nation our Mother language. Whenever we talk about the nation we first mention its language, its cultural heritage, history and the customs of the nation of which the language spoken is an integral part. The statements of Wangleguan is nothing else but elimination of any hope related with our children to taught them everything in Chinese and though become assimilated by the yellow dragon. Wangleguan’s concern is the low performance of Uyghur language as the language of education whereas Chinese is the language of education it is nothing else but the lies of occupant’s forces. Every language should be studied but in such act we see Chinese nationalism and the character of the colonialist power. We know what our Uyghur language is and we know what is so much praised by Wangleguan’s words Chinese language too. We observed in the course of the thousand years the development of Uyghur as well as Chinese language, which was made independently and affected greatly the history of the both nations. In comparison with Chinese language Uyghur language is far superior by its grammatical structure, synthesis, meaningfulness, intonation and so forth. We have to mention Uyghur language is the language in which our older generations contributed to the world civilization in their written literature! Moreover we have to mention that those four classical masterpieces of the Chinese literature with which Chinese are so proud we translated into Uyghur language “At the river bank, Story about the tree states, Dream in the red house, Journey to West”. The killer Wangleguan’s attempts are to turn Uyghurs the bearers of the thousand-years long proud history and culture into Wangleguan’s cherished “Zhung hua” nation and to steal Uyghur nation’s identity. We as Uyghur nation protest against such fascistic policy! We will never become Zhunghua and Chinese is not our native tongue! We are not of Chinese or Wangleguan’s race! Our Motherland is not Xinjiang but Eastern Turkistan! We are Uyghurs, our language is Uyghur and we are Muslims! Wangleguan’s goal is not to improve education of Uyghurs but by teaching to the pupils everything in Chinese assimilate them, and at the end again Uyghurs will be left unemployed in their own motherland whether the newly arrived ethnic Chinese will be hired. Is this alone is not enough to demonstrate the real intentions of the Chinese Occupation! This year UN’s UNESCO announced that among 6,000 languages 3,000 of them at the edge of extinction and Uyghur language was mention is close to being listed as dying language. This is the most warning signal to every Uyghur indeed! Dear Brothers! In the course of the thousand years our nation was able to survive in the battles against the inhumane Chinese regimes and today we facing the fierce battle when our two identities such as our language and our religion is put on survival. Those who lost their language and religion are bond to loose their identity. Therefore our ancestors have named the language with the dearest name “Ana” (Mother) - Ana Til. Our language is our soul, our history and culture, this language was preserved for the thousand years and inshaalah with this language we will be free one day! We have to fight to preserve our language in order to keep our identity. Ukrainians use this proverb “you can forget your mother, but do not forget your language!” Our ancestors paid great attention to our language and left us and to the world civilization a treasury written in Uyghur language. So let us preserve our heritage and our language! |
