9 ) Very serious case in Xinjiang University |

| Not long ago, the medical box
with medicine, which prevents from pregnancy, has been
installed in the students’ hostel at Xinjiang
University. The students and teachers of the University
became very angry because of this, and the high school
authorities under the fear removed this box in the 5th
of April. One of our correspondents went to this school and interviewed some teachers and students. One of the teachers said the following: “Be that from the ethic or from the religious point, it was laughter upon Uygurs, school authorities were very unwise in this case, I studied at this school in 80th, the opinion towards sexual relations was different at that time, I remember that one girl became pregnant, she and her boyfriend were excluded from school for that“. The other student said the following: “This is our nation’s motherland, and the local traditions should be respected, this is nothing else than propaganda of sex, last year my course mate left school, before leaving she said: “I can’t stay here any more, it is not a school, it is the place of dissoluteness, I prefer to go back to home and do praying and lead a clean life”, now I am realizing what did she mean. Of course, every nation has its own ethical and esthetical values. Violation of these values shows disrespect towards this nation. From the very beginning Uygurs paid a great attention to sexual behavior and it was one of the very important measures that girl should keep her virginity till the first wedding night. Unfortunately, our rights are being humiliated, besides that Chinese government is continuously trying to destroy our national and religious ethical values and accordingly our ethical and esthetical values are loosing their strength, now girls are less worrying about their virginity because of advertisements in the streets such as “we are operating girls’ hymen”, which is written by Chinese. Chinese whorehouses very well known nearly in every small and big towns of Eastern Turkestan as “Saloon of beauty” are polluting Uygur men’s honour. 07.04.02. |
