Supporting Uighurs Right For Self-Determination

Wei Fang, a Chinese resident of East Turkistan, was recently arrested for advocating democracy in China and supporting the right for self-determination of the Uighurs. He was recently sentenced by the intermediate court of Bingtuan's 9th division to 3 years in prison and deprived of political rights for one year for "sympathizing Uighur separatists". Liu
Wei Fang, 40 years old, wrote papers that were pro-democratic and advocating the Uighur self-determination and posted these papers on Internet sites in Ning Xia province and Shenzhen city. His papers were publicized via the Internet by
"American Free
Asia Fund".
