Mixed ethnic residents in Sanji city
of East Turkistan are harassed by pollution

Tianshan news net in January 15, reported that
residents of Sanji city in East Turkistan strongly
complained about air pollution in this year,
caused by improper treatment in river sewage of
plant sludge.
Everyday 300 tons sludge loaded in the factory
district in Sanji city and odor can smell from 4-5
km. the ammonia test, the oil taste of smell
extremely harassed the residents in this area. In
addition, waste gas pollution created black smoke
and blowing frequently, block the sky make people
unable to breath, the report said. Increased wide
spread of respiratory disease such as asthma and
lung cancer. Sanji was located in greater area of
Urumchi city, populated with Uyghurs, Han Chinese
and Hui muslims.
Local sources informed that although residents of
Sanji complained about air pollution since more
than two years, did not get any response from the
government yet. Recently, some of the
congressional communist party members raised the
issue in 11th congressional second meeting in
Urumchi , but there was no urgent action taken by
the government about factory disposals in Sanji.
