Tarim River oil
field has 10 billion tons oil reserve

According to Chinese media, Chinese petro
chemistry group found that recent reserved oil in
biggest oil field Tarim River is 10 billion tons.
Chinese petro chemistry group implemented the
three-dimensional exploration to increase oil
production in biggest oil field - Tarim River oil
field of East Turkistan.
From 1997 to the beginning of 2008 Chinese petro
chemistry groups found 24 oil reserves in Tarim
river oil field, and total oil production reached
6.09 million tons. Chinese government is planning
to reach oil production more than 10 million tons
in 2010. If China continues to exploit East
Turkistan’s oil reserve in this rate it would be
dried up approximately in 500 years.
