According to Chinese state media, Gulja prefecture and Gulja city court and police department held announcement of verdict on Uyghur political prisoners publicly at Gulja city sport stadium, in September 18 at 11. Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region Supreme Court branch in Gulja city announced the verdict on the case of 12 young Uyghur man lead by Memeteli. Abdurahman and case of another 12 suspects lead by Ali. Kunahun. All of them were charged with separatism.

Chinese state media did not mention what verdict were given to these Uyghurs, but they stated that the purpose of the verdict on these Uyghurs case was to give lesson to other Uyghurs and crack down harshly three evil forces. It is very likely unjust verdict given to these Uyghurs, since there would be no fair trial on Uyghur cases.
