Chinese media have never allowed reporting actual situation of East Turkistan and they have used to provide distorted information for the benefit of communist party or the benefit of the Chinese authority. In this regard, it is not surprising that China call its neighbor allies who have common interest with him on their political dictatorship to join the forum, However, Turkey’s attend to the forum despite its democratic system and well respect for the media freedom, deeply disappointed Uyghurs, the local people in East Turkistan.

International world community expected information transparency and more press freedom from China in the preparation of Olympic game in Beijing. However, China ignoring international demand, constantly abusing human rights, executing political prisoners in East Turkistan without fair trial and oppressing harshly related information flow on these issues that can cause open criticism by many democratic countries. Uyghurs believe that China gained one more supporter to stand for disapproval of the world community on its strict control for the media freedom since Turkey attended to the forum.

“Although according to Chinese media report , goal of the forum is to exchange the daily news information besides the discussion and so on the related questions, according to the forum program, representatives on related in 2008 Beijing, exchange of information questions and so on Olympic Games' news, picture will also carry on the discussion , it is hard to expect positive improvement of media freedom from these information exchanges Since most of those countries who participated the forum are on the orbits of China, On the contrary, it is quite possible that those countries might loose part of their media independency” said President of Information Center Mr. Abdujelil Karakash.
