Uighur Women in Cruel
Oppression
For the March-eighth
International Women’s Day
Memet Hebibulla
My best festival greetings
to all hardworking women and kindest mothers in the
world!
Most of the world’s mature boys and girls not only
have the rights to decide when they have their
marriages but also have the rights to have their
babies whenever they believe appropriate. This might
be one of the most basic human rights. However, Uighur
women, under Chinese rule, have never been enjoying
this basic right. Instead, they have been living in
suffer and humiliation.
The Chinese invaders, without the any knowledge of
native peoples, cause the mass migration of Chinese
people. As a result, the Chinese population, in Eat
Turkistan, has increased several folds since 1980. At
the same time, the Chinese government cruelly imposed
the so called Birth Control policy, to the native
peoples such as Uighur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Tatar,
Tajik, Mongol and Tongan, which caused the deaths of
8.5 million babies in East Turkistan from the year
1988 to 2001; the Chinese created the world record in
Fascism.
Evil but pretended to be good by given as family
planning, the policy kills babies, destroys mothers’
human dignities, deprives them from basic human rights,
deprives human love and human loyalty. The policy has
been disabling millions of Uighur women mentally as
well as physically. It has been the cause of deaths of
many Uighur women. It has been one of the causing
factors of the poverties of Uighur families.
If the crimes of Chinese invaders in East Turkistan,
even in a short period of 16 years, were written, it
would be many volumes of books!
The evil Chinese government imposed two-child policy
on city and town dwellers and three-child policy on
the most suffering and the poorest peoples, who have
medieval lives in the 21st century. In addition to
that, the Chinese government creates new evil policies
each year such as late marriage, giving permission to
have the first child only after three years of
marriage and allowing to have the second one three
years after the birth of the first etc. The aim is to
cause the decrease of native population.
The invaders policy causes the suffering of Uighur
women by depriving them from the rights of human love,
motherly passion and human desires. It is the cause of
many family tragedies.
The government forces the Uighur girls to have
diaphragms, as a contraceptive method, when they are
getting married. For the one who dares to refuse it,
the marriage certificate would not be issued. She has
to have the diaphragm again after the birth of first
child. The women who refuses to do so or the one who
is pregnant even after the diaphragm would be taken to
maternity department of a hospital, with a police car
or with an ambulance or with a truck, just as a
criminal who has been taken to be executed. The
neighborhood community or the village heads and police
come together and forced doctors to do the abortion.
The near born baby is killed inhumanely by injecting
poison then the body to be thrown in to a rubbish bin
or fried together with placenta and eaten by Chinese
officials as an accompanying dish for their alcoholic
drinks. The number of baby eating officials has been
increasing recently.
Childless Uighur couples who want to adopt others’
out-planned children are not allowed. Instead, the
babies are killed. In addition to killing her baby,
the mother is fined heavily. Because, she refuses the
slavery and does not unconditionally obey, what she
has been ordered. If she is unable to pay the fine and
the cost of the abortion, the government authorities
will take her belongs such as furniture, cattle and
pets, crops for food and even destroy her house to get
the roof-limbs. This type of inhuman treatments have
led many Uighur women have mental illnesses, women’
diseases and brain damages. Many young Uighur women
have been dying with suffer.
Tursunjan Hamdul, from Shayar county of Aksu
prefecture, got married to Zaynap’han. Their marriage
was a late marriage and had a child after three years
in response to the Chinese policy. After giving the
birth for her first child, Zaynap’han had the diaphram.
Unfortunately, after a period of time, she was
pregnant again. Tursun Hamdul and Zaynap’han believed
the second child was legal and went to Family Planning
Committee of the county and applied for a certificate
for giving her second child.
The Family Planning Committee, the committee which
directly helps to impose the ethnic genocide policy of
invader government, ordered them to abort. The reason
was the period between the two children was less than
three years.
After returning back home, Zaynap’han and her husband
had planned to protect the baby and decided giving the
birth in secret. A few days before the day of the
birth, the Family Planning Committee officials and
police found her by a sudden search. They ordered them
to pay 50 thousand Yuan (equals to US$6100, this is a
huge sum of money for the poor Uighurs in East
Turkistan), they caught Zaynap’han and detained her.
The baby is to be aborted.
Tursun Hamdul pleaded her relatives to lend him the
money but it was found impossible. He then went to the
Family Planning Committee and pretended to persuade
her for voluntary abortion. He took Zaynap’han away,
in the midnight, when guards were asleep. They came
their house and got their first child and gave up
their hometown, where their ancestors lived generation
after generation, and all the belongings fled to other
place and lived in hiding and being hired by private
people. The couple and the children survived for three
years by changing their names and working hard.
Considering that the invader government had forgotten
them and desperately missing their hometown, they
returned back to the Shayar County. However, as soon
as they arrived, the Chinese police came and ordered
Tursun Hamdul to pay the 50 thousand fine. He had to
pay the money or stay in detention. Believing the two
children and the mother would be in very difficulty if
he chose to stay in prison, he agreed to pay the money.
They got all of their savings and borrowed from his
relatives. At last they had 25 thousand Yuan to give
the police. He had to promise paying other half in 6
months’ time. Knowing that it was impossible to earn
so much money in 6 month, they had to escape to other
places once again.
Tursun Hamdul and Zaynap’han’s hometown was their
lives, they loved it and they loved human kindness.
They had to give up everything. This is because of the
oppression by the Chinese authorities.
Less educated Chinese from provinces such as Shandong,
Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei have been occupying our lands
and our other properties forcibly vacated and given up
by thousands of Uighurs like Tursun Hamdul and
Zaynap’han. The Chinese have been enjoying to have
free land, water, houses and permanent jobs; their
positions are getting higher and higher; they are
getting riches and richer. The hungry Chinese, who
once coming by train, to East Turkistan, crowded males
and females together under the chairs and on the
passage ways, scratching their itchy bodies which full
of fleas and lice and always disturbing other
passengers, now cleaned themselves by dirtying the
fresh water of Heavenly Mountain. Wearing a pair of
8-Yuan worth of sunglasses and smiling like a ghost,
he has been known as the party boss, the county head
or the director. They are so arrogant and live
inhumanly in any single day. In actual case, they have
been backed by millions of soldiers.
In this day, in many countries in the world, hundred
millions of women sending best wishes to each other,
celebrating each other’s festival. However, millions
of women, in East Turkistan, are crying under cruel,
inhuman, loveless, Chinese invaders’ regime. Their
hearts have been broken, their families have been
impoverished. They have been suffering... They are not
able to enjoy to have a night out; in a restaurant or
attending a music night. They have got nothing but God.
They are in tears! They are bleeding! They are dying!
There was a festival celebration on 6th of March in
the afternoon in a big restaurant in Kashgar. The
attendants are the head of Health Bureau of Kashgar
Prefecture, Gulnisa, the vice heads, administrative
officials of the hospitals and the party bosses in
health systems. They were proud of and celebrated on
their achievements in killing so many babies, making
suffer so many women, in the last 16 years in Kashgar
prefecture which has a total population of 5 million.
Gulnisa was the head of the Family Planning (which is
actually a committee of killing Uighur babies and
making the Uighur women suffer) Committee of Kashgar
prefecture in the 1990s. As she did more than ordered,
she appointed as the head of the Health Bureau of
Kashgar.
In this pre-celebration in Kashgar, the genocidal
Chinese top officials drank the blood and ate the
flesh of millions of Uighur babies and Uighur women.
After the feast, the drunken officials were taken to
their houses with luxurious cars. The day was cold but
millions of Uighur women in Kashgar were working and
struggling in farm fields and hills for survival. They
were working under strict surveillance of so-called
Poverty relief, Violence Prevention, Fighting against
Ethnic Separatism, Compulsory Chinese Language
Education…
