AN UIGHUR EXECUTED IN HOTAN AFTER A MASS TRIAL IN HOTAN

In the morning of October
23, the Hotan Intermediate Court and the Hotan City Court held a joint open session and sentenced Metrozi Mettohti to death for "splitting the country". Immediately after the court session, Mr. Mettohti was taken to the village of Nezer Bagh and shot.
Six more Uighurs including Abdiqeyum and Memetimin Elem were given form 5 to 12 years imprisonment for "the attempts to split the country". The meeting was conducted along with the guidelines of the Chinese government in the Strike Hard campaign and a large number of local people was gathered for the meeting.
Metrozi Mettohti, male, a Uighur, 34 years old, a resident of Laskoy Bazar of Hotan.
Abdiqeyum, male, a Uighur, 27 years old, a resident of Hotan.
Memetimin Elem, male, a Uighur, 23 years old, a resident of Hotan.
2 ) OPEN TRIALS IN AKSU

Four open trials had been conducted this month in the city of Aksu. 43 people were sentenced. One person was sentenced to death and executed.
