OPEN TRIAL ON PEOPLE'S SQUARE IN KASHGAR

On September 25, an open trial of 48 Uighurs accused in political crimes was held on the People's Square in Kashgar. The following are the names of some of these people.
1) Tursun Tohti, male, Uighur, 50 years old, an elementary education, a farmer. Resides at lian 10 of Kashgar's 43d regiment. Sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.
2) Nurmuhemmet Abliz, male, Uighur, born on 8/2/73, a trader. Resides in house 106 of Qazan family committee's group 1 on Chasa St. Sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and 1,500 yuan fine.
3) Osman Jamal, male, Uighur, 23 years old, elementary education, a trader. Resides at group 6, kent 5, Pilal village, Aqtu District, Qizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Oblast. Sentenced to 14.5 years imprisonment, 3 years deprivation of political rights, and 5,000 yuan fine.
4) Yasin Amet, male, Uighur, 18 years old, elementary equation, a farmer. Resides at group 3, kent 10, Soget village, Yengisar District. Sentenced to 4.5 yeas imprisonment and 5,000 yuan fine.
5) Qurban Musa, male, Uighur, 21 years old, a mason, resides at mehelleh 4, kent 8, Baghche village, Yengisheher District. Sentenced to 4.5 years imprisonment.
6) Tomur Emet, male, Uighur, 27 years, old, illiterate, a cook, resides at mehelleh No. 5, kent No. 8, Awat village, Toqquzaq District. Sentenced to 4 years imprisonment.
7) Emet Heyt, male, Uighur, 23 years, old, elementary education, a trader. Resides at mehelleh 2, kent 4, Harap village, Yengisheher District. Sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.
