Chinese government might intensify
birth control policy in East Turkistan

Women in child bearing age reached 4 million 460
thousand and married women in child bearing age is
3 million 430 thousand in East Turkistan, official
Chinese media reported today. Report also
mentioned that 570 thousand births will be reduced
in 5 years. However, population will increase in
East Turkistan and total population of East
Turkistan will reach 22 million in 2010 and 25
million 500 thousand in 2020.
Chinese government well aware of quick increase of
population of East Turkistan was caused by huge
scale of Han Chinese immigration from Inland
China. However, they seem to ignore the fact and
trying to continuously killing babies through
putting more restriction on birth and intensifying
birth control policy. “In next 20 years population
increase of East Turkistan will be in the peak and
it is impossible to control many problems caused
by population increase in East Turkistan if
Chinese government focus killing babies rather
than focusing on stop Han Chinese immigrants” said
Uyghur residents in Urumchi who does not want to
disclose his name over the phone interview.
