ETIC CONDEMNS CHINESE CRACK DOWN ON
TIBETAN INDEPENDENCE DEMONSTARTION
Uprising in Tibet asking Tibet’s independence, are
cruelly suppressing by the Chinese government, despite
the upcoming Olympics and Tibetan demonstrations at
Chinese embassies around the world.
Tibet has similar history with East Turkistan as they
occupied by China in 1949. Uyghurs, the real owners of
East Turkistan strongly support Tibetan independence
movement and condemns China’s illegal occupation on
both East Turkistan and Tibet.
“East Turkistan Information Center strongly condemns
China’s harsh suppress on demonstrators. They
violently cracked down many times unarmed Uyghurs
uprising; now they crack down unarmed monks and kids.
It is unacceptable, world community should call China
to change its attitude at least...” said Abdujelil
Karakash president of ETIC: “Chinese government used
to harshly crack down and used to continue its crime
against humanity, since governments in this world
focus more on real politics and business rather than
human rights. ”
Chinese government violently massacred thousand of
Uyghur farmers who upraised against heavy taxation in
Barin village in East Turkistan in April 5, 1990.
In February 5, 1997, Chinese government army forces
harshly cracked down thousands of peaceful young
Uyghur demonstrators who demand democracy, and
resulted more than thousands of deaths and more than
5000 of refugees.
Since long history, there have been many revolts
against China’s illegal occupation in East Turkistan.
All of them were aggressively cracked down. Since
September eleven, international terrorism became as an
excuse for China to suppress any legitimate demands of
Uyghurs and China intensified its oppressive colonial
regime in East Turkistan.
ETIC received secret messages from Uyghurs in East
Turkistan that support Tibetan independence and
message that appreciates Tibetan friends’ brave act.
Many Uyghurs expressed strong support at the Uyghur
message boards in outside China: “East Turkistan
independence movement and Tibetan independence
movement will not stop until rich the destiny. We
strongly support our Tibetan friends and we fight
together against the same enemy...”
