Isa Hüsen, Founder and President of
the „Justice Party of East Turkistan“ sentenced to 12
years in Prison
Accordimg to news the East Turkistan Information
Centre received from home, the President of the „Justice
Party of East Turkistan“, Isa Hüsen was arrested by
Chinese police in July 2005.
Isa Hüsen is from the Aksu Province and a university
graduate. In 1994 he founded the „Justice Party of
East Turkistan“ and was elected as ist president.
After the founding of the „Justice Party of East
Turkistan“ in February 1994, Isa Hüsen began to inform
through the press and publications about the
systematic injustices carried out by the Chinese
government and called the people of East Turkistan to
resist the Chinese elements.
Because of these reasons Isa Hüsen had been arrested
in August 1994 and sentenced to 9 years in prison.
After his release in August 2003 he was subject to the
intimidation policy of the Chinese government and was
under constant observation.
Isa Hüsen, always under observation since his release
from prison has been arrested again and sentenced to
12 years in prison on account of a visit from his
friends who came to see him after his release, on the
pretext that this gathering was one to prepare an
uprising.
