On September 14, the voice of the people of East
Turkistan was restored with the formation of the East
Turkistan government in exile. On that day, East
Turkistan was at last able to find hope for the future.
Embedded in that future is the remembrance of those
who have fought for freedom in the past.
On November 12, in 1933 and 1944, the people of East
Turkistan reasserted their independence. From November
20th to November 22nd of 2004 we wish to honor their
efforts and their sacrifice, and honor them with the
official enshrinement of the Constitution of the
Republic of East Turkistan. Note: This three-day event
had been scheduled to take place from November 12th to
November 14th. But, it has been postponed a week later,
due to Ramadan.
So that you may help us in establishing and amplifying
that voice, the East Turkistan Government in Exile and
the China e-Lobby, hereby invites you to come to
Washington D.C., to take part in the proclamation of
the Constitution and the announcement of the
Parliament for the Republic of East Turkistan.
Together, we can continue to bring hope to, and be a
voice for, the Uyghurs, Kazaks, Kirghiz, and all other
oppressed people of East Turkista suffering under
Communist occupation.
On November 20th from 10 AM to 11 PM in the Ballroom
of the Hotel Washington, located 515 15th Street NW,
Washington, D.C., a block east of White House, the
welcome ceremony of the event will be held. This
ceremony includes introduction, speeches by both the
East Turkistanis and foreign participants who live in
the U.S. and abroad.
On November 21st, from 12 AM to 6 PM in Chantilly
Regional Library (located 4000 Stringfellow Road,
Chantilly, Virginia, the members of the Parliament of
East Turkistan Government in Exile will be elected and
the final draft of the constitution of the Republic of
East Turkistan will be reviewed followed. [Note: this
session is closed to the general public and media].
On November 22nd, from 08 AM to 11 AM in the Ballroom
of the National Press Club Building, located 529 14th
Street, NW 13th Floor, a press conference will be held.
At the press conference the Government officials of
the East Turkistan Government in Exile will take oath
and launch the Parliament and the Constitution of the
East Turkistan Government In Exile, and takes
questions from media. On the same day, Monday
afternoon, from 1 PM to 4 PM a rally will be held at
the Lafayette Park, next to White House, to tell the
While House and U.S. public about the story of East
Turkistan.
The East Turkistan Government in Exile seeks to tell
the world about East Turkistan and to raise the cause
of freedom and independence. By providing information
to U.S. government officials and policy-makers,
developing contacts with the press to story of East
Turkistanis, fostering alliances with like minded
groups and individuals, and sharing the culture of
East Turkistanis with all who may enjoy it.
The China e-Lobby is an organization dedicated to
exposing the abuses of human rights, threats to
American security, and attacks on general decency
committed by Communist China, and to influencing
American policy to ensure these egregious acts do not
go unopposed.
