China claims
ancient kingdom
This is really not a suprising story because that is
how China has expanded over the centuries. Last
October, when the lame-duck Chinese president Hu
Jintao spoke at the Australian Parliament, he
basically said it was the Chinese who first found
Australia. A lot of Australian officials felt the same
way as the Koreans are now feeling. A new book came
out last year in U.S. saying the same thing about
America that it was discovered by a lost Chinese fleet
during the Ming dynasty. The Chinese just make up some
stories using fairytales and then justify them as
historic reality. Pretty soon They might claim that
the Earth is part of China "since ancient times"
because the God in the Bible and the Allah in the
Quran is the Huandi, the forefather of the Chinese.
This is how East Turkestan, Tibet, (Inner) Mongolia
and Manchuria became a part of China "since ancient
times". China's neighbors know such Chinese intention
very well because of their historic relations with
China. And if you ask any Uyghur, Tibetan, Mongol, or
Manchu about it, you will have a better understanding
of China's expansionist mentality deeply imbedded in
its history.
Once I read a an article about the invention of the
airplane on a Chinese magazine called "Ao Mi" or "Mystery".
The article said it was the Chinese who first invented
it several hundred years before Wright Brothers did in
U.S. The Chinese have a habit of claiming every
invention as exclusively Chinese as long as there is
no evidence that invention was invented by others.
Paper, Compas, Printing, and Gun-powder etc, and even
Football/Soccer. Soccer may be big today in China but
most Chinese knew nothing about it before the 1990s.
After Chinese claims, and the world accepts, then, yes,
those things become "Chinese invented or discovered".
If China, not the United States, is the only
superpower on earth, China would not just occupy Iraq,
set up a democratic government consisted of Iraqis,
and then leave, but would shamelessly claim that Iraq
was part of China "since ancient times", with "facts"
from China's Social Academy. China would establish the
"Iraq Autonomous Region" with a pro-Beijing puppet
installed. China will then export all the excess
flowing population to this new autonomous region as
the "experts, technicians, and engineers" to develop
this underdeveloped place. After that, the Chinese
claim that without the "support and development of the
central government in Beijing", the Iraqis would be
living in Stone Ages. That is at least what they
officially told the Uyghurs, Tibetans, Mongols, and
Manchues after occupying their motherlands, which were
not part of China.
The West should be wary of China's long-term and ill
intentions toward her neighbors and the occupied
territories. China will not become a responsible power
as long as CCP rules the country by brainwashing the
Chinese people with such nationalistic and
expansionist fairytales. Therefore, it is a big
mistake for the European Union to lift arms embargo
imposed on China. Today's Chinese leaders may not wear
Mao-uniforms but wear Western suits and may not chant
empty slogans but speak the language of international
diplomacy, nevertheless they are the same devil in a
different color.
