The Chinese government is planning to move the regimental head quarter of 14th division of the bing tuan to Hoten city, Tambag county

The bing tuan, is a military campus also known as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps,. They have expropriated more than 100 mu for this purpose, equivalent to 6.67 hectares, and have destroyed more than 1000 Uighur homes without compensation. In particular, they destroyed one ancient mosque, which more than 5000 people use for prayer, thus exacerbating local tensions
