Mass arrests in Shayar
according to the report of the "Eastern Turkestan Information Center"'s correspondent, since recent time the Chinese authorities have started arresting Uygurs in the district of Shayar falsely accusing them in "illegally producing and custody of weapons". In accordance with the initial information, the names of some Uygurs detained by the Chinese policemen and the reasons of their imprisonment are following:
1.Rahman Barat, about 55-60 y.o., a craftsman making knives, from Shayar district;
2. Ehet Rahman, 35 y.o., Rahman Barat's son; the chinese police says 200 home-made bombs were found at their place;
3. Rozi Semet, about 65-70 y.o.; from Nurbagh village of the Shayar district;
4. Semet Rozi, son of Rozi Semet, about 35 y.o,, The police states that 200 home made bombs, 34 swords, 2 pistols were found at the above two families' places.
5. Siyit Qasim, 30 y.o., from Nurbagh village of Shayar district, is accused by police in storage of 500 bombs and several pistols;
6. Yasin Ehet, 25 y.o., from Shayar district, is accused in providing "separatists by iron for producing weapons";
7. Qasim Qayim, about 22-23 y.o., accused in assisting thoes who produced weapon;
8. Rehmet Tomurchi, 30 y.o., from Qaylo village of Shayar district, accused in "making 50 bullets and weapons";
8 persons above are only one group of the Uygurs arrested recently in Shayar district. "Eastern Turkseatn Information Center" is continuing investigation of these information.
