The Chinese authorities try to make the Eastern Turkestan Muslims and the leaders of Falungong movement to hate each
other
Our information: According to the latest information in the newspaper "Xinjiang geziti", recently the Chinese authorities gathered more than 200 Muslim leaders and religious activists in Urumchi and called them for fighting against the Falungong spiritual movement. The Uygurs living abroad believe that by doing this the Chinese authorities try to make the Eastern Turkestan Muslims and the Falungong leaders to hate each other. In this connection on the 21st of March the director of the "Eastern Turkestan Information Center" and vice-president of the "National Congress of eastern Turkestan (Uygurstan)" , located in Germany, Abduljelil Qaraqash received a correspondent of the "Radio Free Asia", USA, and strongly criticized the hypocrisy of the Chinese Communist regime and called the people of the Eastern Turkestan to be enhance vigilance against the political provocation of the Chinese authorities. The following id the full text of the his speech: "At present the Communist Chinese authorities force the Islam religious organizations to criticize the Falungong spiritual movement. And our Information Center were anticipated this kind of action of the Chinese authorities. I believe, this is a pure provocation. The Chinese authorities aim to bring a contradiction and hatred between the Muslims of Eastern Turkestan and the followers of the Falungong movement as well as between these two different religions. Certainly this is a great problem that the people of Eastern Turkestan have to pay great attention and to enhance vigilance. At the same time the fact that the Chinese Communist authorities force the Muslim organization in Eastern Turkestan to launch activities against the Falungong movement means that the Chinese government turned the religion sphere into the sphere of its political games. As everybody knows, the Muslim society ad the Muslim organizations in Eastern Turkestan have never implemented their main functions, though according to the documents the goal of this Muslim organizations are to serve for the people, though the freedom of religious believe is declared on paper, but actually the Chinese Communist authorities have been used these organizations to propagate the Communist ideas which are absolutely opposite to the Muslim religious, and to justify the policy of the Communists. Since the Chinese authorities tuned the Muslim organizations in Eastern Turkestan into the nestle of their accomplices and half-trained Muslim priests and use the latter against the real religious leaders and scholars in order to liquidate religious believe in Eastern Turkestan, religious organizations in Eastern Turkestan have lost their authority among the people. Criticizing of the Falungong movement by these
organizations is not an action of the religious circles, but campaign of one of the Chinese communist party's bodies. I would like to stress that religious freedom is known to be one of the fundamental human rights and at present followers of different religions respect other religious believes in the world. So the people of Eastern Turkestan must be vigilant to the political provocation of the Chinese Communist authorities. Because the policy of persecution of the spiritual Falungong movement has been already using by the government towards our people for the period of more than 50 years, and we have to learn a lesson from this".
