Anti-Chinese leaflets have been distributed According to the information gained by "Eastern Turkestan Information Center", recently in Ili area there have been distributed leaflets blaming Chinese authorities in bloody suppression of the democratic movement in Beijing in 1989 and terrible extermination of the Uygurs in Kuljia on February 5, 1997. The leaflets distributed by unknown persons have put the local authorities to trouble. According to the earliest information about these events, the Chinese police suspected that the leaflets were brought from America and seriously investigated it.
