Unemployment Rich more than Two
Million in East Turkistan

Asian heart news net reported official Chinese
government statistics in March 27 and revealed the
data of unemployed in East Turkistan. According to
the report, 116,000 university and technical
institutes’ graduates and 18,000 vocational school
graduates need to get employed in 2009, including
60,000 graduates as well. Unemployed city labor
forces in this year is 543,000 people, addition to
57,600 state – owned enterprise laid – off workers
and other 140,700 unemployed workers that
mentioned in the report are already became huge
issues that can cause the potential unrest in East
Turkistan if there is no crucial policy
implemented for unemployment reduce.
“In rural areas of East Turkistan more than one
million six hundred labour surplus need to employ
in this year,” the report said. However, Chinese
government may transfer those rural labor forces
to inland China again as it has been done in
previous years. Unemployment issues are big
problem in inland China as well in these years,
but Uyghur labor forces are welcome for the
Chinese factories in inland China, since they were
transferred as a slavery labor or cheap labor.
Total unemployment in rural area and urban area
based on the calculation of the report is more
than two million. Despite those huge amount of
unemployment in East Turkistan, Chinese government
already expecting to receive one million two
hundred unemployed Han Chinese migrants from
inland China and actively creating job opportunity
and stable settlement conditions in East Turkistan
for them .
