Han Chinese migrants violently
killed teenage Uyghur Boy
2009-01-31
ETIC learned that in January 29, 2009 more than
500 Uyghur people demonstrate against the Han
Chinese immigrant's violence in East Turkistan,
the north west province in China
In January 28, one teenage Uyghur boy in Shayar
county of East Turkistan was beaten up and killed
by 16 Chinese immigrants in the Game Café just
because he accidently stepped on owner of the game
Café's foot.
"It was accident, the boy was accidently stepping
on the game café owner's foot on the crowd, he
apologized to him, and so we think nothing will
happen. The Chinese man, owner of the Game Café
said Game café will be closing early and ask
everyone out and Chinese guards in the café start
to push people out. But we realized that the boy
was held inside. They lock the door quickly and we
heard screaming of the boy. There were 16 Chinese
men inside the Cafe, so we right away call the
police. But the boy was already beaten by those 16
Chinese very badly and killed and thrown out of a
second-floor window when the police arrive" said
eye witness.
"Police did not arrest owner of the Game Café and
other 15 Chinese, they are under Chinese police
protection right now. So, Uyhgurs demonstrated
peacefully against the violence, but Chinese
police forces crack down the demonstrators and
arrested 8 of them," the man from Shayar county
said.
Name of the teenage boy and his age is not clear
yet.
Uyghur people are frustrated rapid increasing of
Han Chinese migrants' violence against Uyghurs in
East Turkistan as Chinese government protects
violent Han Chinese migrants.
"Any Uyghurs violence act in East Turkistan
considered as terrorism and results mass arrest
and harsh crackdown campaigns, but Chinese police
and Han migrants' violence against Uyghurs
considered as a part of government crackdown
campaign on Uyghurs" said Abdujelil Karakash,
president of ETIC.
