After 9-11
events the situation in the world has changed
drastically. The balance of power and influence of
Russia and China in Central Asia has changed, and
control in this region has shifted to America and the
Western countries. America and Western countries pursued
not only objectives of fighting global terrorism but
reaching economic domination in this region as well.
The main reason is that Central Asia is rich in oil,
natural gas, mineral resources and raw materials, so
America, Russia and China compete severely over control
in this region. The political influence of Russia in
this region is still in existence, the economic and
political role of China in the region is also increasing
steadily, and America and its Western allies also do
everything possible to penetrate into this region.
Creation of the ‘Shanghai Organization for Cooperation”,
close relations between China and Pakistan with its
nuclear weapons, and other similar factors worry greatly
the US and its Western allies.
America was trying hard over many years to establish its
control in the region, but it failed so far to reach
considerable success. However, the 9-11 events created
new opportunities for the USA.
The US military presence in Afghanistan mixed up all
plans of Russia and China in the Central Asian region,
and the “Shanghai Cooperation Organization” got out of
control of the whole situation.
The US is now present in Afghanistan, Pakistan turned
out from China, and the Turkic states of Central Asia
started to slowly drift towards America,
The 9-11 events demonstrated us clearly that the world
political situation is influenced not by the UN or other
international organizations but solely by America and
its Western allies.
The most important thing is that we need to understand
fully the Western and American policies. |
