5.  Eastern Turkistan people face even harder limitations of freedom of speech

Our correspondent Tomur Chogi reports on March 15 from Homeland:
As it is widely known, the Communist Chinese regime has intensified its fascist oppression in the so-called “education in the field of fight against the nationalist separatists “ in Eastern Turkistan. All the mass media channels in Eastern Turkistan – radio, TV, literature, journals, newspapers, press, science and technology, religious affairs – are totally controlled by the Chinese regime. The freedom of speech and access to uncensored information is limited.
The oppressors leave no room for a free expression. People, who live under the oppressors’ control, have no choice but to try to deliver their grievances to the above-mentioned mass media sources. The Chinese regime has recently eliminated even this little chance. Eastern Turkistan has turned into the military and political fascist camp.
The Chinese regime announced that it would implement the policy of the “strong attack” in the fields of all the mass media channels in Eastern Turkistan – radio, TV, literature, journals, newspapers, press, science and technology, religious affairs. For example, the official representative of the Chinese Communist regime, party committee secretary Wang Lequen, a butcher of the Eastern Turkistan people, announced on January 31 on the party meeting that [quote]
“ Over last years internal and external nationalist separatists have intensified their struggle in the areas of ideology, they use media sources to spread their separatist ideas, and they publish wrong ideas in journals, magazines. Enemies published illegally the books and journals that propagate the separatist ideas and contain separatist slogans. The nationalist separatist forces abroad in alliance with the Western governments use the radio, Internet in order to spread their separatist ideology. The separatists always paid great attention to influence the primary and secondary schools. The ideological fight is becoming more and more important under present world political situation, so we need to intensify the policy of “3 attacks”, and we need to pay serious attention to the ideological fight. We need to reconsider the work of the relevant organs in the Autonomous region.”
The purpose of the Chinese regime is to eliminate the rights of Eastern Turkistan people to develop their national values, freedom of speech, art and culture; to control all aspects of spiritual life. For example, the Chinese regime since 90s criticized the 3-volume work by Almas ependi on the Uighur culture. In primary and secondary schools the courses in languages and literature, the regime prohibited mentioning classic literature and philosophy. The only literature available – is the books of authors who praise the fascist regime. History is falsified, the youth cannot learn about their national literature and history, national values. In the religious sphere, all kinds of calamities were raised against our religion and our clerics. The government workers cannot participate in any religious activities; otherwise they would be fired from their jobs.
What is funny, the Chinese regime prohibited access to the Internet access on the pretext that that the system is infiltrated with all kind of “trash”. Than the trade and commerce operations slowed down. The Chinese regime accuses the national liberation movement as being “the Muslim radicals” and “Uighur terrorists”. They have even invented a type of “terrorists, who fight with the pens in their hands”. The deputy secretary of the Autonomous region Ismail Tiliwaldi said on January 1 at the course dedicated to the “education in the field of ideology and information against the nationalist separatists” that “ The situation with the struggle against the nationalist separatists in our Autonomous region is very serious. One part of the fight is the “struggle with pens”. We have stand against the nationalist separatists. The external and internal separatist enemies extend their fight to the fields of literature, education and culture. They try to influence the public opinion. We need to fight such ideology with the whole enthusiasm”.
It is obvious that the real terrorists in Eastern Turkistan are the Chinese regime itself. The people of Eastern Turkistan are only innocent victims of those terrorists, no more.
Our compatriots and the world community need to know that the people of Eastern Turkistan with its 10 thousand old rich culture and civilization have been facing recently the fascist oppression and restrictions of their human rights.
We address our compatriots who live inside and outside our Homeland to say that our purpose is to fight the fascism and political terrorism! Let us unite and struggle for the sake of democratic and human right values! There is only one solution left for the people of Eastern Turkistan. This is the rebellion. Political terrorism has never been overthrown in other way. And it never will be. The will of the people of Eastern Turkistan for freedom is strong. This will for freedom will intensify steadily and strongly.
