Dear compatriots, as you well know, on January 1, 2002
the Congress was called up in the in the capital of
Eastern Turkistan at the “people’s palace of arts”
At this congress a quite an interesting case was brought
up to the public’s attention. The fascist Chinese regime
used the terrible case of the young Uighur, Tursunjan
Emet, as an excuse to put pressure in the ideology front
in Eastern Turkistan and to extend this fight and
oppression of the religious activities into oppression
of the national culture and education system as well.
Prior to the congress’ meeting the New-year party was
organized in honor of Tursunjan Emet, the national
Uighur poet. After that the Communist Chinese regime
called up the cadres meeting of the party committee of
the Xinjiang Autonomous region on January 11. The
Xinjiang paper in its edition of January 13, has
announced about this event. The main topic of the
meeting was “strengthening the ideological struggle
against some obstacles in the ideological front.”
At the meeting the chairman of the Xinjiang Uighur
Autonomous region Ablet Abdureshid gave a speech where
he mentioned the New-Year party in honor of the poet and
said: «This was done in a hidden way, it does not
correspond to the social realities, it approves the idea
of the nationalist separatism. The party committee of
the autonomous region did not take this case seriously.
It failed to gather immediately and to work out concrete
decisions on this point. The party branches should be
serious about such events and should give ideological
education to the people in all aspects of life. Our
enemies abroad and separatists try to spoil our people
by enemy propaganda using radio, journals and books,
artworks and literature, Internet, and other means.
These enemies want to penetrate our Autonomous region
and to instill their separatist ideas in the masses. We
need to watch them closely. False ideas and religious
concepts of the nationalist separatists of all kinds
should be checked scrupulously and banned completely. We
have to crash down on all separatist activities.
The Chinese circles in Eastern Turkistan organized some
meetings for discussion how to limit and abolish the
freedom of speech. For example, Xinjiang newspaper in
edition of February 1, on the front page said, “ The
party committee of the Autonomous region must intensify
in the field of the ideology its fight against national
separatists, it should improve the education of masses.”
According to the article, the Communist Party Committee
of the autonomous region called up a meeting on January
31. At the meeting the secretary of the party committee
of the autonomous region, the notorious butcher Wang
Lequan, and the deputy secretary Ablet Abureshid
delivered speeches on this issue. The deputy secretary
of the Party Committee Zhushengtao offered concrete
steps of intensifying the ideological fight against the
separatists, and of re-education of measures,
A number of officials participated in the meeting, among
them Esqet Kerimbay (Qazaq), Hujiayuan, Wangjingshiang,
Chengdemin, Wudungfu, Zhangqingli, Zhuyuan, Nur Bekri,
Erkin Imirbaqi, Wuqianglar. Basically they came to
decision to intensify the ideological fight against the
national separatists, and to improve “reeducation of
enemies.”
Wang Lequan said: «over many years the national
separatists tried to penetrate into the ideological
scene, to create mass disorders. They attempted to use
mass media channels, literature, magazines and journals,
all possible channels to create dissatisfaction and to
destroy the national ideology. The separatists have
spread out books and magazines, they published them
unlawfully, and they influenced negatively the public
opinion. Foreign enemies use radio, Internet, and other
media tools to penetrate and undermine our ideological
front. Separatists always try to influence the people,
to influence the school education system, and to
penetrate it for their unlawful purposes. Now in the
changing global political situation we should not let
the ideological fight to weaken. We really need to
continue the policies of
“3 attacks”, and to strengthen the ideological struggle.”
Also, Ablet Abdureshid is also made a speech:
” This time at the ideological front we need to
re-educate people in the ideological scene. We have to
watch closely cadres in the secondary and higher
education systems. Our duty is to control publishing all
books, magazines, journals, art works and literature.
Workers in these areas will get the ideological
upbringing and re-education. This time the process of
the re-education should be centralized, and we have to
lead strong attacks in 4 decisive steps.”
The Communist Chinese regime started after this meeting
the real process of “re-education.” The Xinjiang
newspaper informed the readers on February 2, “The fight
against the nationalist separatists in educational
systems and their re-education was launched on January
31.”
Deputy secretary of the Party Committee Zhushengtao gave
a speech at the beginning of the ideological attack. He
labeled all national teachers, students, and all people
who are support national and cultural values along with
the educational system in general as the «important
branch of the Eastern Turkistan terrorists who already
penetrated in the region.”
Also, the Xinjiang newspaper the front page said on
February 3 on that “ In the field of the ideology the
struggle against the national separatists should be
intensified.”
The deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the
Autonomous region, Ismail Tuliwaldi wrote in article on
January 1: “ The struggle against nationalist
separatists in the field of educational and arts is the
action of the first importance.” He also added: “In our
Autonomous region the fight against the nationalist
separatists is again becoming a very serious issue in
the present political situation. Separatists attack our
ideological front, so we are not leading just an armed
fight against the separatists. Our internal and external
enemies want to deceive the public and to instill their
separatist ideas through the literature, education
system, press, and other channels. We need to strengthen
enthusiastically our basis of the fight against such
wrong concepts.”
Ismail Tuliwaldi wrote on January 23 in his new article
“ the nationals separatists (terrorists) use not only
weapons but also pens to undermine the mass order. They
are fighting against us not only with violence but also
with the ideological tools.”
The Communist Chinese authorities published in their
main organ in Eastern Turkistan, the Xinjiang newspaper,
on January 24 the abridged report of Wang Lequan’s
speech. He said: “ 3 types of attacks shall not be
conducted in a soft way.... In the ideological front we
need to intensify out fight against the nationalist
terrorists.” |
